Shortlisted for the 2017 International Prize for Arabic Fiction, this novel by Lebanese author, Elias Khoury, tells the story of Adam Danun, a Palestinian immigrant to New York City. Adam decides to write his autobiography and the novel is his life story growing up in a ghetto surrounded by barbed-wire in 1948 Palestine.
