Influenced by his reading of Ibn Khaldun, Freud, and Mannheim, he believed the mind is biased and untrustworthy. He also writes that the human mind is surrounded by a dense rim of values, beliefs and interests motivated by the subconscious. In this book, al-Wardi explores human thinking and logic with a look at psychology, sociology, politics and history.
