Written in the early Sixties, it begins with a letter written by Abdel Quddous to President Gamal Abdel Nasser that details the extreme, heavy, and violent censorship to which newspapers are subjected. The press had not yet been nationalized and Abdel Quddous was the owner of a local newspaper.
