Abdel Aziz al-Maqaleh is Yemen's best known poet, past president and current professor emeritus at Sanaa University, and the director of the Yemeni Center for Studies and Research. Dr. Maqaleh is widely recognized inside Yemen as a leader in Sanaa's top cultural arts and literary circles. This new book of poems strikes a delicate balance between simplicity and depth to reflect the contemporary cultural face of his beloved country.
