The narrator of the story, a journalist, is sent to cover the story and discovers that the dead man is not Kamal Medhat, but actually a Jewish violinist Yousef Sami Saleh. The quest to learn more takes the reader on captivating history of Iraq through the many lives of the victim. Previously longlisted for the IPAF award.
