It is Spring 1924 in Cairo, Egypt and the crypt of King Tutankhamen has just been discovered. When the permit to continue digging is suddenly and unexplainably canceled by the authorities, Howard Carter races to the British Consulate to try and use diplomatic pressure to force the authorities to renew the permit.
