After long daily hours of backbreaking work, they rest their weary bodies with miserable women and drown their sorrows in cheap wine in the town of Hilla. Winner of the Arab Literature Prize 2020 awarded by the Arab World Institute and the Jean-Luc Lagardere Foundation.
